**Project Overview:** 

San Bernardino County just received their specialty command vehicle. This custom truck was built to aid response in the event where radio towers are compromised or when a stronger radio signal is needed. Built on the Ford F450 Crew Cab 4-Wheel Drive chassis and a custom fiberglass shelter, this truck has its own on-board power, mast and VSAT antenna. This equipment enables the truck to extend radio repeaters at higher elevations to facilitate and establish radio communications for emergency responders.

 

**Technology:**

AvL 1.2m VSAT satellite antenna with iDirect X7 modem. The 30' mast is equipped with mobile repeaters for emergency repsonder radios.
