Project Overview:
Frontline Communications hosted WRAL for the delivery of their eighth Frontline Communications vehicle, our new Nissan Titan XD “Storm Tracker” vehicle. What a vehicle this is…a fully equipped off-road package, satellite uplink and weather gear allow them to chase the storm – wherever it goes.
Technology:
The full featured A/V system includes a Blackmagic 12x12 Router, Ashley Audio mixer, quad monitors, conventional & wireless IFB, computer edit station, test pattern generator and Cradlepoint for wi-fi. It also includes an Airmar Weather station and 42” Dynascan outdoor monitor for GPS-based on-scene weather reporting. The Live & DriveTM dual-dash and rooftop camera system work in conjunction with the LiveU LU600 bonded cellular encoder to allow the talent to switch camera views for real-time traffic reporting on the move. The Ku-IP satellite system, featuring a 1.2M AvL antenna and 65W BUC, has enough power to power through any bad weather. This system utilizes the Maverick service network.
